Check out Desktop Tower Defense if you haven’t tried it already. It is quite fun and addicting. It is a flash puzzle game whose goal is to stop the enemies (creeps) from getting to the other side of the board by building mazes with different types of towers.
Two places to find it online. The website Kongregate.com has more of a multiplayer aspect to it, because you can chat with other people on the website after signing up for an account. The other place is the author’s home page, handdrawngames.com.
If you do try it out and get a decent score playing at least the Medium difficulty you can save your score to a group of other people. My friends and I have been saving our scores under the group name “llbbl”. Feel free to add your scores to that group. You can see our group and other group scores here.

I am testing out a free polls service from PollDaddy to see how I like it and so I thought I would make something generic for people to vote on. I saw this on another blog and thought I would check it out. What do you think about the service?
Update: I removed the javascript poll because it was slowing down page loads. If you are still interested in taking the poll CLICK HERE.
I moved the original poll to the bottom, after the jump.
Please vote for the Parent company so for instance if your favorite place online is using Google Reader than vote for Google. Another example would be using Skype which is owned by eBay or Flickr which is owned by Yahoo. I think you get the idea! Thanks for voting.

I have been using Tadalists by 37signals to keep track of stuff that I need to do with various things. It is free to use and quite useful. They did a good job as usual implementing AJAX and RSS into their webtool.
The stuff that I need to do I find to be personal. I doubt most people are interested and there are probably some whom are that I would rather they didn’t. Tadalists allow you to selectively allow people to access a list or available to anyone.
Meet the MySpace of Todo lists. I happen to come across 43things and 43places the other day and today I signed up to check it out. 43things is social todo list where people to try to collectively come up with their life’s aspirations. 43places is similar and has to do with where you live and places you want to visit.
So I thought it would be funny to add this to 43things, “Make a list of things I want to do with my life without actually doing any of them” since I think this website is a big timewaster like MySpace rather of an actual productive tool used by professionals.
If you have an account on 43 things make sure you add “Make a list of things I want to do with my life without actually doing any of them” to your list because it would be hilarious if that was the most popular thing on their website!

CSS Tab Designer works for WinXP. It will greatly help the aspiring web developers in their efforts at creating CSS tabs. It comes with a number of examples that you can customize to look like your own.

Smashing magazine gathered examples of styling forms using CSS. There are a couple of ones listed that actually look pretty nice. I wouldn’t mind using them on my projects in the future.

Scoble Interviews the Google Reader Team. I have been using google reader recently because my Sage firefox extension doesn’t work very well with the Yahoo Del.icio.us Firefox extension. Flock works pretty good as a RSS reader also.
Overfishing is a serious problem. Scientists said that there “will be virtually nothing left to fish from the seas by the middle of the century if current trends continue, according to a major scientific study”. With an estimated 50 years of fish and 50-100 years of Oil and Gas it is going to be very interesting for our children. Will there have anything left?
Now on to some lighter news. All the hockey fans will be happy to know they now can watch every NHL hockey game will be available online at google video.
Music fans will be happy to know that Napster is giving away a free download every day via their website. Read more about it at lifehacker.

Since IE7 and Fire fox 2 have been released there have been number of reviews available online comparing the two. What many of the reviewers fail to mention is the number of Firefox extensions that allow you to customize your browser.
I have recommended some Firefox extensions that will enhance your web browsing experience greatly. Being able to customize your browser to this degree is something totally unique to Firefox.
The biggest complaint that I have with Internet Explorer 7 is that it is no longer free and the IE team no longer plans on developing it for platforms other than Windows. Slashdot recently interviewed Dean Hachamovitch the General Manager of IE at Msft.

I made my own Amazon Affiliate Link Generator using PHP. I think it is the best generator out there because it so simple.
You must know what the ASIN of the item is. You also need to have an Amazon Associate ID, which you can get from the Amazon Affiliate website. On their website they offer a more advanced Link builder, which is great, but you have sign in and fill out a more complicated form .
Here is an example link using my Associate ID. I have some ideas for possible future development on a similar tool.

I know this is probably old news but I wanted to post it in celebration of the release of Firefox 2.0! The stupid IE logo cracks me up everytime. Weeeeeeee.
Update: I removed two of the videos because the Weee one owns them all. You can download a higher resolution version here. I found this on the firefox flicks website.
