Looks like they screwed up some CSS in the admin panel of the new version. (1.2.0.1)

I've upgraded few working copies, didn't see anything like that.
browser cache perhaps?
maybe so. it fixed itself after I *had* to set magento folder to 777 to mess with the magento connect
