Lying is Ok, Cheating is Ok-”I did not have sex with that woman”
Torture is Ok-(Bill)Clinton summarized his views in the following terms: If they really believe the time comes when the only way they can get a reliable piece of information is to beat it out of someone or put a drug in their body to talk it out of ‘em, then they can present it to the Foreign Intelligence Court, or some other court, just under the same circumstances we do with wiretaps. Taking people’s rights is O.K.-see previous.
Neglecting the poor is O.K.-Violated his oath ofoffice to uphold the Constitution by signing into law an ex post facto law, a retroactive tax increase.
Being a religious hypocrite is O.K.-Perjury to congress. Used a bible or other holy book to vouchsafe his testimony would be true to his beliefs.
Killing is O.K.-Appointed and protected Arkansas Medical Examiner Fahmy Malak who repeatedly obstructed justice by declaring murders as “suicides” or “accidents.”
Incompetence is O.K.-He got caught, but who cared?
Cronyism is O.K.-Mrs. President (Please, shoot me now.) Appointed a campaign activist to head the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, without the mandated “advice and consent” of the Senate, to derail a probe of his and Hillary’s financial dealings.
No its not ok, but I think you got the Clinton blinders on, ignoring Bush is doing. What Clinton did has nothing to do with what Bush is responsible for.
Clinton lied because the Republicans were on a witch hunt and because he believed his infidelity had nothing to do running the country, was a personal matter that didn’t involve American citizens. Bush lies directly affect American citizens and has every bit to do with his ability to run the country. See the difference?
The fact that you would sit idly by while this country goes to shit because you think a previous presidents lie about getting a blow job gives all future presidents political immunity to make any bad decision they want, is the most despicable, ignorant thing that I can think of.
Exactly which of my comments show support for Bush? Or is me having a negative opinion on your stud buddy automatically grounds for me to be “teh enemy”?
I was expressing my shock for a nation that venorated a president who personally lied to protect his own self directly to me, and also to congress comitting perjury as he was under oath (granted it was on tv and he was doing it to 240 million other people as well, but I am being selfish here.) instead of taking the route Carter did, and saying “Yep, I’m human, I messed up. I broke my vows and we will deal with this issue, Hillary and I.” (As a sub aside, so he had lust, big whoop, good for him.)
Or he could have gone pimp ninja and said “Yah, we did it, we did it between tours in the Lincoln bedroom for two solid weeks, heck I think we kept doing it through a tour too. Smyth Kline is gonna be so tax free for those little blue gems!”
Either way I would have supported him, heck, if he and gone option B I probably would have had his face tattoed on my postierior.
Lying will be done by presidents-lying should be done by presidents-to protect tactical advantages or protect agreements. Lying for personal use re: Nixon & Clinton, no.
