Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest SUCKED

Ok first of all apparently there are going to be three movies, but they forgot to mention that to anyone. I sure didn’t know that going into the movie theater. I was expecting them to wrap up all the plot lines, but no they couldn’t do that.

You spend 2.5 hours in the watching the thing to find discover that not only did they wrap up any of the plot lines they started in this movie, they “kill” off one of the main characters. Its leaves you unsatisfactory feeling of why did I just spend $20 to go see this movie. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Amen! It wasn’t as bad as Nacho Libre , but at least that’s not going to be another lame-ass money-grubbing trilogy.

don’t go see this movie, it is a waste of money!!

Haven’t you ever heard of bringing someone into the theater… besides they never actually showed him dying..so he could be living… AND: Johnny Depp’s in the 3rd casting.. So his character WILL be showing up! So that either implies that he’s okay or that he comes back and HOW many ‘Great’ movies have done that? hmm?… It wasn’t that cool…

Are you kidding? Ever since the beggining they announced that they were making two movies. They started production on both of them at the same time. All the reviews and news coverage have been calling it the 2nd movie of the trillogy…

Hmmm, you seem to get a tad ahead of yourself… Did you walkout on the end of the movie??? They are going to get Captain Sparrow back! That is the whole meaning of the third film… Please do watch the entire movie before you rant and rave… :D and good luck out there…

you didn’t know? how long have you been on the internet? gj having your head up your ass, genius. btw, movie tickets are only about $8 a person, dickwad.

I thought is was a rather good movie. There’s obviously a reason why they didn’t finish it up. So there would be meaning to the third one.

I made front page of negative reviews on google, woot!

I dunno… The movie in itself was good. It did give you that feeling of wonder didn’t it? You WANTED a resolution. I admit, the whole trilogy thing out of nowhere was a bit… unsettling. But there will be NO saying the actual movie sucked. K? K. Thanks.

I thought the movie was great, as I am one of those people who knew there was a sequel to the second film. I warn people though that this movie is to be continued. It literally drops off at a critical point. The movie was great though. I guess if you don’t keep up with IMDB.com then it may surprise some people to know there is a 3rd movie that was shot at about the same time as the second. Definitely a film I recommend.

Who pray tell did they kill off? I recall something about johnny depp starring in the 3rd as well. Bah, you guys are just over critical.

You did not read up ANY news on the movie before you saw it, did you? I mean, even the mainstream CNN news was talking five months prior to the movies release about how there would be a TRILOGY of movies. Not to mention that Jack Sparrow isn’t finished off if you read any of the Comic-Con news, or even IMDB.

No I didn’t read up on it. I liked the first one and wanted to see another good pirate movie with 1/2 way decent plot, but alas mateys that didn’t happen. Pirates 2 was awful and as a result I won’t see the third in the theatre and I will tell all my friends not to see it either.

I don’t care if he supposedly didn’t die in the 2nd one and will come back in the third. It would have been much better if they killed off squid face and “killed” off Cap. Jack so then the entire third movie could be devoted to getting Jack back.

At least in Star Wars 5 you feel like the plot has move along to some degree. To me Pirates 1 stands apart from 2 and 3. Its like they went back and said well we covered so much in Pirates 1 and we want to make another movie, but wouldn’t it be great if we could draw out one movie worth of content into two movies. And so it was that PIrates 2 and 3 are born.

Anyone who thought this movie was ‘great’ has no concept of good film-making. Although it was quasi-entertaining from time to time, every fight scene was five minutes too long and the acting by most of the characters was abominable. If they had cut the lenthgy fights and the poor dialogue, they could have finished the story in two movies instead of three. Let’s be clear that everyone should realize that they are not making three movies out of necessity or integrity but solely out of greed. They had enough plot for two movies but thought, “Why not capitalize on this trilogy-hungry populace?” Therefore, they stretched the plot so thin over the second movie that they had to fill it with nearly an hour of wanna-be-badass, use-the-same-tricks-over-and-over, sad-one-liner-filled fights. No one can honestly say that there was enough story here for three movies. You’re kidding yourself if you think so.
