10 reasons why George W. Bush is a bad president

H

  1. He’s stupid. He can’t talk and is not a good leader. He’s not a role model anyone can look up to. He does not inspire confidence that he is doing a good job or the right thing. Morons and idiots should be barred from public office because they are not able to handle complex tasks such as running the most powerful nation in the world.
  2. He has strong ties to Oil and Gas companies, who think the best solution for becoming less dependant on Foriegn Oil is to invade other countries, spend hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of American lives in a foolhardy task, rather than make a serious investment in next generation fuels.
  3. His enviromental policy sucks. He thinks drilling in Alaska Artic preserve is ok. He thinks less restrictions on pollution is ok. He has made no effort to address the Kyoto treaty.
  4. He vacations alot, which means he is lazy. He expects other people to the job for him. He always looks to blame other people for his mistakes. (Hurricane Katrina)
  5. He is openly Christian and ties his religion too much to his politics. The USA is about equal representation and diversity. We need to work VERY hard on making people other religions feel like they are welcome in our culture. 9/11 and the backlash by anti-western fundamentalists is proof of this. Occupying another nation is NOT the best way to do this.
  6. DMCA and the Patriot Act were responsible for the loss of personal freedoms resulting in corporate America and the federal government perscuting the American people unjustly.
  7. Very, very bad economic policy resulting in a drastic rise of national debt. Privatizing Social Security is a really bad idea. http://zfacts.com/p/318.html
  8. Other countries do not respect him. He is a poor representation of the quality of people who should be leading this nation.
  9. Finially, I think he is a horrible president because he starts things but doesn’t finish them (Afganistan/Bin Laden) and also he makes bad decisions and doesn’t admit to them (Iraq).
  • Sally and her Buddy

Yes so Bush sucks and we all know it but hey if we stuck any other random person in there they’d kill us all!

so i totally agree with my buddy here. and the american republic isnt really the greatest either…but i still luv the states…okay. so i think that maybe bush should have totally done some things different. i didnt like how he sent so many ppl off to iraq but thats just from and anti war junkie-me. im not sure if hes really stupid or anything i just think he could have been way wiser with the power he was given. im not trying to be totally corny and say that with great power comes great responsibility but yeah. it kinda does. if i could have placed a vote between him and Sally (who fyi was dropped by the doctor durring her delivery and fell down the stairs when she was a baby)i’d have picked Sally.

I know that most of the things Bush has done has been because it was for the better for our country. He probably can’t tell the public alot of what goes on because we would’int understand it and we would jump straight to giving him crap for it. A true leader does what he thinks is best for us, not acting on what others say or think is best.

This is not only Bush. He’s the puppet. His allegiance is with the lobbyists. The Executive Branch of the Government has been successful in making money only for themselves. America is was fucked when he stole the election from Gore. The media and everything that is regulated by the government for that matter has hypnotized this country with bullshit advetising campaigns and propaganda beyond what most can understand. The smart and the strong minded people aren’t going to take this shit government anymore. We need real leadership and someone who can represent America in a good light. We are one race….Human. We are wonderful beings from a higher source, but from birth we are distracted, manuipulated and sucked into the system of consumerism. The American dream is a joke. The PURSUIT of happiness is not actual happpiness. Read between the lines. We are being forced fed a fear campaign that powers support so that you will “need” the government to “protect” you. Take a look at the documentary called Zeitgeist the Movie (zeitgeistthemovie.com) and Loose Change. These will open your eyes. Especially the right wingers who believe that Bush is actually defending our freedoms. Land of the freaks and home of the slaves.

Bush does suck, but our next opportunities are nothing better. Research the CFR!

And as for the religion thing, he can be of whatever religion he wants to be, but that shouldn’t affect his decision making. He acts like a Christian, until he’s around his esoteric freemason buddies, or bowing down to a Shinto shrine in Japan.

He has made many mistakes, but guarantee the next president will make just as many if not more.

Bill, you’re a moron, you’d fit right into the Bush Administration because it’s obvious you’re just as corrupt as they are. Trying to say people know nothing about Bush and all the horrible things that Bush has done are lies. Well it just so happens those 10 facts why he is a bad president are true, try looking those facts up in a newspaper and/or internet article. I couldn’t help but notice you didn’t say how you know these 10 facts about Bush are lies. From what I looked up from good reliable resources I’m willing to say the Bush Administration would take you in a second. Like I said you’re just as corrupt as they are. Hell, I’m even somewhat of a conservative and I still hate and so does a majority of people in my community (who are also mostly conservative). If Bush is being hated by his own political type group then that’s just sad.

It’s astounding that this article was written almost THREE years ago and there are STILL comments being added. I agree with all 10 points and could probably add 1, 2, or 5 hundred more. Here’s one based on facts:

Fact 1: On August 11, 2008 George W. Bush, your “wonderful president”, declared to Bob Costas at the Olympics in Beijing that “first of all, I don’t see, I don’t see America having problems.” (That’s a direct quote from the NBC clip found on youtube and elsewhere.)

Fact 2: This was one month before the financial crises struck that threaten not only the U.S. economy but also the global economy.

While I don’t think Bush was responsible for the whole mess (though he certainly contributed to it, with his doctrine of deregulation), the conclusion I take from this is that Mr. Bush is a lax manager oblivious to the status of his own country, failing in his duties to

    a) manage the federal government efficiently and
    b) guard against major illicit or unethical doings in our economic system,

resulting possibly (I hope not) in a historic collapse of economies around the world.

Now that would be a hard statement for anyone to refute.

Excuse me, Ms. Tonya, but no person, no matter their title, should be exempt from criticism if their performance is atrocious, which is what Bush’s presidency has been. (I agree with you, though, that profane and vulgar statements should be eliminated from this discussion.) Bush’s popularity is so low that both parties, Democrats AND Republicans, have taken strong measures to distance themselves from him, in both the Presidential AND senatorial elections. Why is that? Could it be that he: a) lacked the intellectual and political competence to govern this nation at a time of historical change and circumstance? b) exhibited duplicity and egocentric expedience in dragging us into a controversial and ultimately devastating war? c) devolved this nation both economically (from a surplus to a historic deficit) and diplomatically (from a point of sympathy to that of scorn and contempt)? If so, then respect is the last thing Mr. Bush is due … Loathing and sad disgust come more to mind for his escorts into retirement. His presidency would be comical if not for all the death and maiming his policies have caused. Shame on you, and for anyone, to think otherwise.

Wow, it’s a shame that this post is the first result under google for, “Why is bush a bad president”.

This isn’t based off any fact. Republicans, democrats, liberals, who cares? We’re all americans. We call love this country. If you really hate this country you need to leave the US and visit somewhere in the world where people are less fortunate than us.

I’m willing to bet most of the people that posted on this thread are inbred, or just children.

almost everything you have said either is opinionated or it can’t be proven, you are ridiculous and the reason you hate bush is because the the majority doesn’t like him. So why not hop on the bandwagon folks. Stupid fucking liberals.

I don’t follow politics that closely so am not too sure of the facts being cited. I do have respect for the office he is serving in however, and feel everyone should.

I just wonder how much of the problems we are dealing with are directly his fault, and how many he inherited? It can’t be easy trying to run a country well, having all of these critics go after every thing you do, and dealing with all the foreign issues too. I mean we’ve been a country for over 200 years now. I seriously doubt everything wrong with the US is exclusively his fault. I find it awful also that Bush is blasted so badly for his decisions, but Clinton is lauded as a hero. No wonder our country is in such dire straits.

The truth of the matter is that we’re living in a time of deception and it no one knows what to believe. As a direct result, it’s splitting our country apart. Instead of being Americans, we are Democrats, Republicans, anarchists. I respect people’s decision to take sides for and against President Bush, but unless you’re in the offices making the decisions, you don’t truly know what’s at stake. We can only form our opinions from media being sponsored by large corporations that filter what’s being covered. I suggest watching television (very left) and listening to a fair share of AM Radio (very right) and form your opinion from both ends.

We hear things like “separation between church and state” when it doesn’t even exist. Separation between church and state is merely a notion that Thomas Jefferson supported when he wrote a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. We also hear the term “recession” being used a lot lately. We are not in a recession. Check the facts. However, there’s potential to be…

As far as Bush is concerned, it’s pretty safe to say that the number one issue Americans disapprove of him is because of our involvement in Iraq. I remember sitting in my high school classroom on September 11, 2001 as everyone watched the television is disarray. We were angry. We wanted to retaliate and we did. No one was against the idea of fighting back. We like to think that there was more U.S. involvement in 9-11, but there was not. Taliban terrorists are extreme Islamics who think that their admission into heaven is dependent on the destruction of societies like U.S. To back down from people like this would be detrimental to the safety of our country. As much as we like to think that we could just let Iraq be, Saddam Hussein was a terrorist and just as much of a tyrannical leader as Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler, but with less manpower. In fact, his life-long idol was Joseph Stalin and he was infactuated by him. We wouldn’t let Stalin and Hitler’s tyranny survive in WWII so why would we have let Hussein do the same. If we leave, radical militias and surrounding nations that want to control the oil supply are too strong and would overcome the government we are trying to put into place in Iraq. We have to stay there. Far, far, far more people are living today because of our involvement in Iraq as opposed to letting a vicious dictator kill millions and test nuclear weapons on his own people. Just because we don’t see it doesn’t mean we aren’t affected by it. I’m ashamed of those of you who feel that having a few extra bucks in your wallet is more important than the lives and well being of dieing people around the world.
